The modern residence was designed to augment and frame a beautiful naturally-rolling site with private lake in Hunting Valley, Ohio.

The Clients requested an “understated and timeless” modern design approach for the home, which is located in a community noted for more historical and classical residential designs.

The home is designed as a low, single-story assemblage of white stucco and Ipe wood clad pavilions, hovering over an excavated lower level courtyard. Floor to ceiling glazing is provided for most living spaces including a monumental ‘lift and slide’ glass door facade that allows the entire main living room to open on to a rear entertaining patio. Various reflecting pools, swimming areas, terraces, and landscape features are planned to extend the indoor/outdoor living theme to all aspects of the home.
