Located in the Highland Square area of Akron, the Mustard Seed Market & Café represents a unique intersection of food and community. The project was conceived and accomplished through a partnership between public and private sector stakeholders with the common goal of providing a distinct and easily accessible neighborhood grocer in an urban historic district within the City of Akron.

In the first few years since opening, the store has transformed into an unofficial community center for the neighborhood- offering meeting and banquet space, classes and live music on the weekends.
