Dimit Architects was part of a team honored at the Ohio History Connection’s State Historic Preservation Office Awards for work on the Wagner Awning Building.
Dimit Architects, Sustainable Communities Associates, Welty Construction, and Naylor Wellman LLC were honored with a 2017 Preservation Merit Award. The Preservation Merit Award is “for preserving Ohio’s prehistory, history, architecture or culture.”
The Wagner Awning Building is located at 2658 Scranton Road in Cleveland’s Tremont Neighborhood. The building, originally constructed in 1895, was recently adapted from a factory into 59 apartments and basement office space.
The Ohio History Connection’s State Historic Preservation Office is “Ohio’s official historic preservation agency. It identifies historic places in Ohio, nominates properties to the National Register of Historic Places, reviews federally-assisted projects for effects on historic, architectural and archaeological resources in Ohio, consults on conservation of older buildings and sites and offers educational programs and publications.” Lean more

2014 – Rialto Theatre
Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream and Dimit Architects for rehabilitation of the 1919 Rialto Theatre at 1867 West 25th Street in Cleveland
2012 – ASM International
ASM International, The Chesler Group and Dimit Architects for the preservation and rehabilitation of the ASM headquarters building at 9639 Kinsman Road in Materials Park.
2011 – Andrew Jackson House
The Chesler Group, Inc. and Dimit Architects for the preservation and rehabilitation of the Andrew Jackson House at 277 East Mill Street in Akron.
